It’s finally here! After a test period, the Artivist Library: the Living Room officially opens on February 24th. (Click the link for more information)
the Living Room is an intersectional, community-driven, collaborative space for queer, feminist, refugee, and artist collectives in Haarlem that facilitates capacity-building among marginalized communities through:
- community outreach & social events
- knowledge-sharing and skill development
- activist organizing and resources
As an Artivist library, the Living Room is a hub of both community and knowledge. Visitors can access hundreds of books, zines, and PDFs on social change, organizing, and transformative futures. The Living Room is a place to put these ideas to practice, where community comes together to create art, host events, and take action.
- In partnership with MeeMaak Podium, the Living Room will host events and presentations related to artivism, queer voices in cinema, cultural fusion, and nightlife.
