Nieuwe Vide is buzzing with activities that connect both locally and internationally. Every week, we welcome neighborhood residents for our cozy Soephoek—a moment for meeting, conversation, and warmth over a bowl of soup. We also regularly host the creative evening Teken or Leave It, an accessible drawing night where everyone is welcome to sketch, experiment, and meet new people. These evenings are alternated with workshops led by artists.
We collaborate with festivals to shine a spotlight on local art. Nieuwe Vide also offers a diverse program of workshops and film nights, such as The Queer Image, led by artist Bernardo Zanotta. This program is a collaboration with De Schuur. We are also home to several collectives.
In addition, we organize lectures and screenings that delve deeper into our exhibition program, offering space for artists, themes, and stories to be explored in greater depth.
