Welcome to Nieuwe Vide Artspace! At the moment, we are (still) housed in a very old building. We are aware of the challenges regarding accessibility and are working hard to make art and culture as accessible as possible for everyone. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email us at info@nieuwevide.com. We also greatly welcome tips, good ideas, or suggestions. This way, we can work together to create a welcoming environment for all.

We are open during exhibition periods from Friday to Sunday, from 12:00 to 17:00, unless otherwise stated. Would you like to visit outside of these hours? Just send us an email.

Outside of exhibition periods, we also host many interesting workshops and activities. Check out our agenda here. At every activity, our hosts are ready to welcome you. At Nieuwe Vide, we speak both Dutch and English. Upon request, an interpreter familiar with basic sign language can be present. Don’t hesitate to approach them with any questions.

During opening hours, we primarily work with (young) volunteers who do their best to make your visit as safe and enjoyable as possible. Please be extra kind to them!

Project Space
Workshops take place in the project space, directly to the right upon entering. A wheelchair is available for visitors with limited mobility.

Library
During activities in the library, a wheelchair ramp is placed at the entrance steps and the door is open. A wheelchair is available for visitors with limited mobility. Upon entering, the library is located to the right of the project space.
Accessibility may vary per activity, depending on the layout of the space.

Accessibility – Toilets
There are two gender-neutral toilets. These are accessible via a staircase. Unfortunately, we do not have an accessible toilet (MIVA) inside the building. You can use the wheelchair-accessible toilet at Mooie Boules., which is located very close to Nieuwe Vide.

Sound & Environment
Nieuwe Vide is a creative workspace (artist studio complex) shared with various artists and creatives. As a result, the building is lively and can sometimes be noisy. Dogs are often present in the building.
If flashing lights or loud sounds are used in an exhibition, or if it is not suitable for children, we clearly communicate this via our website, social media, and at the entrance.

Animals
Dogs are always welcome, as long as they are leashed in the exhibition space and do not disturb people or artworks. Assistance dogs are always welcome.
