On International Women’s Day, Young Feminist Collective Haarlem is organizing a sit-in on Stationsplein Haarlem to take up space and emphasize that women have that right, especially because women’s rights are still being restricted in various places in the world. We will sit together, get to know each other better, work on different textiles/crafts to put ‘traditional feminine’ work in the spotlight and possibly make music. With this we want to honor that through crafts women could previously come together in their own circles and discuss their lives there, as well as create a visual language for themselves.
