Nieuwe Vide and Patronaat join forces for young makers.
Starting November 2025, Nieuwe Vide and Patronaat will enter into a special collaboration. Together they will offer space to (young) artists from Haarlem and the surrounding area to showcase their work in the EXPO of Patronaat.
Within this program, Nieuwe Vide will realize four exhibitions at Patronaat during the 2025/2026 season. The exhibitions provide space for young and/or queer makers working with themes of night, experimentation, and diversity.
The works, often on the intersection of image and sound, have a direct link to the night and can be seen during Patronaat’s opening hours, including during club nights and concerts. This creates a unique cross-pollination between music, art, and audience.
Makers who want to exhibit or pitch their work can contact info@nieuwevide.com. We especially encourage artists who work with themes of the night, and who may also want to apply for support through Nachtmakers, to respond.
PUMP UP THE END (powered by ARTCORE)
First up for this collaboration is: ARTCORE: an interdisciplinary leisure program in which ten to fifteen young people (14–20 years old) are introduced to contemporary art and design. Under the guidance of artist-curator @marianne_hotske and musician-artist @duck.r.zwolsman, they create work together, visit exhibitions, receive workshops, work on their portfolios, and create their own exhibitions. ARTCORE is a collaboration between Nieuwe Vide & 37PK Haarlem
In the ARTCORE installation, animation, sculpture, and drawing come together in a landscape that balances between nature, city, and technology. A world where nature merges with industry, infused with a dystopian atmosphere where you can feel ARTCORE’s resistance rising. The young people of ARTCORE behind this exhibition invite you to wander through this leftover world. Are you brave enough to uncover its secrets?
