Nieuwe Vide Academy Presents: Detour to Paradise
Just like last year – when Bienvenue Chez Moi took place – Nieuwe Vide this year again offers opportunity to young talent between the ages of 14 and 19.
In the past months the participants have followed an intensive training course during which they became acquainted with contemporary art, participated in workshops and visited artists (like Mette Sterre and Domenique Himmelsbach de Vries), museums, galleries (for example, Dürst Britt & Mayhew), and other art institutes/initiatives (including Extrapool and The Free Café). This ultimately resulted in the exhibition ‘Detour to Paradise’ realised in collaboration with a number of professional artists. The Nieuwe Vide Academy presentation is scheduled to open on Saturday 23 April at 18.00 hrs.
