In honor of our 30th anniversary and to capture the character and history of Nieuwe Vide, we are collaborating with artist Eva Kreuger to create a composition of various objects and shapes that tell us something about Nieuwe Vide and your experience of this place, using cyanotype. Which iconic image or object should we include? Even if you can’t attend the workshop yourself, you can still submit something in advance that we can use for printing! Cyanotype is an early, cameraless photographic process that creates monochrome white-blue prints by exposing a surface coated with a light-sensitive solution to UV light. Cyanotypes were originally used to create blueprints of architectural designs. As an art form, however, it became especially well-known through Anna Atkins’ plant prints.
