Nieuwe Vide Academy is an art project for talented youth, who will explore contemporary art.
It can be regarded as a significant introduction to contemporary art and an encounter with the art world in general. Nieuwe Vide Academy is an art course specially tailored for young people between the ages of 14 and 19.

During the previous five months, course participants met up twice a week for studio visits and other excursions. They are working towards an exhibition at the Nieuwe Vide that will focus on counter culture. The young aspirant artists will base their work on social themes that they find relevant, like identity.
‘Yippie ya yee’ is the result of five month’s hard work. Come and see what occupies contemporary youth!
